Chile
Building on a mature and highly digitalised public procurement system, Chile’s MAPS MAIN assessment examined opportunities to further strengthen the strategic use of public procurement. The assessment recognised the important role of ChileCompra and the Mercado Público platform in promoting efficiency and transparency, while identifying priorities to improve integration with public financial management systems, enhance institutional coordination and oversight, increase SME participation, strengthen procurement monitoring, simplify procurement processes, and reinforce integrity and public access to procurement information.
