Brief description of the country procurement system
Chile operates a centralized and highly regulated procurement system, managed primarily through ChileCompra. The system features a strong e-procurement platform (mercadopublico.cl), which covers most government purchases. However, challenges remain in integrating procurement with financial management systems like SIGFE.
