Ethiopia
Recognizing the central role that public procurement plays in public service delivery, financial management, and sustainable development, this MAPS MAIN assessment for Ethiopia with additional assessments of the roads and water sectors resulted in recommendations targeting the harmonization of procurement laws and regulations, strengthening institutional coordination and capacity, improving procurement planning and market engagement, enhancing performance monitoring, reducing inefficiencies in bid evaluation and contract execution, and reinforcing accountability and anti-corruption measures across sectors.
