Mozambique’s MAPS MAIN assessment provided a comprehensive review of the country’s public procurement system as part of ongoing efforts to modernise procurement governance and strengthen its integration with public financial management. Led by the Government of Mozambique through UFSA, the assessment recognised progress made in developing the procurement framework while identifying opportunities to further strengthen the legal and institutional framework, advance the implementation of e-procurement integrated with the e-SISTAFE financial management system, improve procurement planning and contract management, promote sustainable public procurement, strengthen market engagement, and reinforce transparency, accountability, and integrity across the procurement cycle.
