Sustainable Public Procurement

The MAPS Sustainable Public Procurement (SPP) module provides a harmonised tool for use in the assessment of sustainable public procurement in the public procurement system of a country. As such, it focuses on a specific policy area of public procurement.

While it was previously a requirement for using the SPP module that it was done in conjunction with or after a core assessment, a new version of the module has been developed that can be used independent of a MAPS core assessment. Starting as a pilot phase in November 2023, this new version is now freely available to any jurisdiction for use as an independent tool or in conjunction with/after a core assessment, as appropriate.

Assessors who wish to conduct a MAPS Sustainable Public Procurement assessment should use the templates below. These templates follow the same structure as the ones used for a core MAPS assessment.
